Star Tours 2 Soft Opening

The official opening of the attraction is on June 3rd, 2011.  Soft openings typically occur 1-2 weeks prior, and there was early news that they may begin as early as May 20th for the general public.  Since then, Disneyland announced a "contest" of sorts, allowing Disneyland Annual Passholders to win a Sneak Preview of Star Tours 2, and you have to register before May 8th, and you'll be notified on or around May 16th.  If you're a Disneyland AP holder, we definitely recommend trying to score a time by going to disneyland.com/ap or by clicking here. 

What's unclear is if the attraction will be open for soft openings other than these AP previews, the last of which will be on June 1st.  We expect the attraction to be soft open on at least June 2nd, if not earlier.  If you've heard anything, be sure to let us know!

UPDATE:: we're now reporting LIVE from outside the WDW attraction all day, every day, waiting for the soft openings to start. 

No Star Tours 2 soft opening dates have been announced yet.

As soon as we hear anything regarding a soft opening or ride previews, we will be sure to post it here. 

It's reasonable to expect soft openings anywhere from 1 to 2 weeks prior to the opening of Star Tours 2 based on Disney's history of offering soft openings before a ride opens to the public.
